Natural rubber is a versatile material  composed primarily of cis-1,4-polyisoprene, giving it exceptional elasticity and resilience. Known for its high tensile strength and resistance to wear and tear, natural rubber is widely used in applications like vehicle tires, industrial belts, etc. It also exhibits good resistance to water and low temperatures, maintaining flexibility in cold conditions.

It is vulnerable to heat, ozone, UV radiation, and oil exposure, which can degrade its properties over time. To overcome these issues, it is often combined with synthetic materials or treated with stabilizers. It plays a vital role in industries such as automotive, healthcare, and manufacturing, contributing to the production of items like surgical gloves, conveyor belts, and footwear.
